Dear Songwriters Association Of Canada members,
I trust this letter finds you well and as creative as ever. We wanted to reach out and provide you with some important updates regarding your membership with the Songwriters Association of Canada (S.A.C.).
In response to the challenges faced by the music industry at the onset of the pandemic, we extended complimentary memberships to both new and existing members. This initiative aimed to support our community during that time.
As we step into the new year, we are pleased to announce that we will be reinstating our annual membership fees in the coming months. To enhance your experience, we are launching a new e-commerce platform that will streamline the membership purchasing process, accepting various forms of digital payment for your convenience.
Rest assured, all current complimentary memberships will continue to be honoured until the launch of the platform. We will keep you informed with further updates and details as we progress.
Should you have any inquiries about your membership, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. We are here to assist you and ensure a smooth transition.
As a non-profit charitable arts service organization, your membership dues play a vital role in empowering the S.A.C. to advocate on behalf of Canadian music creators. Our advocacy efforts extend globally, working towards fair compensation for music creators and fostering a more favourable legislative and economic environment for the music business. Additionally, your support enables us to provide professional development programming and educational services, reinforcing our commitment to the growth and success of our community.
In the spirit of growth and collaboration, we are thrilled to be rolling out our 2024 programming. Please stay tuned for details on our upcoming webinars, and on our Pro Songworks writing camps taking place in various regions across the country. We are currently accepting submissions for Pro Songworks, and you can apply here to be considered for a 2024 songwriting camp.
Please consider this letter as advance notice of the reinstatement of membership fees in the coming months. More detailed information will be communicated through our S.A.C. e-newsletter.
We eagerly anticipate an exciting year of education, advocacy, and community building with our members. Your ongoing support is invaluable in shaping the future of the music industry.
For any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected]. Thank you for your continued dedication to the Songwriters Association of Canada.
Warm regards,
Arun Chaturvedi
