Music Domains May Finally Be a Reality

Trying to register a domain name can be incredibly frustrating when you find out your name’s been taken. DotMusic has recently won a battle with the likes of Amazon and Google for the right to use .music domains. The company will vet registry applications not only to make sure the registrant is in the music business but also that the name is not being held for sale in the future. Most major music associations support .music, assuring the music community that registering the domain is exclusive to the industry. Songwriters, bands, independent labels and many more will be able to register a .music domain.
