Regular membership of the Songwriters Association of Canada costs the same as a cup of coffee per month and gives you the opportunity to connect with both accomplished and aspiring music creators, publishers, A&R managers, and other music industry professionals. But networking isn’t the only reason to join.
There are a number of other benefits to joining such as use of SongVault to protect the ownership of your music copyright and SongPitch to help get your work in front of clients. We share information on songwriter agreements and a range of other educational areas and facilitate workshops and listening events such as Songbird North.

All prices are in $CAD and are subject to tax. Students receive 50% discount one year memberships.
Eligibility: A voting membership is exclusive to any composer and/or author of any musical composition, published or unpublished, who is a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and who ordinarily resides in Canada. Student Membership is exclusive to full time students enrolled in a secondary or post secondary institution. Must be a lyricist and/or composer of any musical composition, published or unpublished, who is a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant and who ordinarily resides in Canada. Associate Membership is open to any non-songwriter individual, any non-Canadian songwriter, or to any firm or corporation interested in supporting Canadian music creators.

- Regular at $60 p/a (or $50 for two-year)
- Associate at $150 p/a

The S.A.C. exists to help its members build their careers and get fairly paid for their work, and to develop the community of Canadian music creators. While some of our advocacy work and educational resources are available to all, the small price of membership allows exclusive access to our many specialized tools, services and career development opportunities.
