S.A.C. President Arun Chaturvedi and Vice President Martine Groulx recently met with Member of Parliament the Honourable David Myles—an accomplished songwriter, artist, and passionate advocate for Canadian music creators.

As both a creator and a policymaker, MP Myles brings a rare and valuable perspective to the table. He understands firsthand the realities faced by music creators in today’s rapidly evolving landscape, from the rise of Generative AI to the challenges of the streaming economy.

The meeting was a meaningful opportunity to connect on these critical issues with someone who truly speaks the language of creators. We are grateful for MP Myles’ continued commitment to advocating for a fairer, more sustainable future for Canada’s creative community.
