The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame announced six anglophone and five francophone artists from across the country as finalists for the 2021 Slaight Music Emerging Songwriter Award. One anglophone and one francophone winner will be announced in early September. For the first time since the award began, fans get to vote for their favourite songwriter until Aug. 15 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. A cash prize and opportunities for SOCAN songwriting camps are among the award’s prizes.
