S.A.C. in Ottawa

Advocacy, Broadcast

Representatives from the Songwriters Association of Canada (S.A.C.) were in Ottawa this week, meeting with MPs and Senators to discuss the implementation of the Online Streaming Act. This crucial legislation aims to ensure that foreign-owned tech companies, which benefit greatly from Canadian culture, contribute to the production and promotion of Canadian songs and stories.

S.A.C. also attended the annual SOCAN on the Hill event, where they mingled with parliamentarians and enjoyed performances by Savannah Ré and Aysanabee.
