On February 9th 2024, S.A.C. members were provided notice that collection of membership dues would be reinstated in the following months.

Accordingly, reinstatement of annual membership dues will take effect as of today, May 23 2024. Please visit the S.A.C. website to purchase your membership at https://songwriters.ca/membership/

Additionally, the S.A.C. is pleased to announce the launch of the S.A.C. writers’ room, located at the Canadian Music Centre in the heart of downtown Toronto. The writers’ room is a place for music creators to write, record and collaborate in a private and comfortable environment. Access is included with your membership.

Membership with the Songwriters Association of Canada also provides songwriters, lyricists, beatmakers and producers the opportunity to network and collaborate with other like-minded creatives.

Members can also expand their industry knowledge and develop the business and creative skills necessary for a career as a music creator through the various professional development and educational programming services offered by the S.A.C.

And perhaps most importantly, your membership supports the invaluable advocacy efforts undertaken by the S.A.C. on behalf of Canadian songwriters. As a collective voice, the S.A.C. advocates for fair compensation and a strong legislative and regulatory environment for all Canadian music creators.
