Austria Set to Create Limited Exemption for Clips

It looks like Austria is the the next nation set to make a limited set of exceptions for the use of music clips less than 15 seconds. It passed through the legal committee earlier this month. This would enable the use of material that is considered parody or pastiche (an artistic work in a style that imitates that of another work, artist, or period) It isn’t clear that how payments would be paid out for usage beyond that fraction of time. What was made to offer music creators more sovereignty now poses new concerns. Read about the laws passed here:
