Roundtable discussion – “Copyright in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence”

On November 23, 2023, the Songwriters Association of Canada (S.A.C.) participated in the Canadian Government Department of Innovation, Science and Industry (ISED) ‘s roundtable discussion on “Copyright in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence.” The purpose of the consultation was to address the impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) on the marketplace and to re-engage Canadians and stakeholders on copyright policy questions related to AI.

This roundtable was part of the broader “Consultation on Copyright in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence” initiative launched by the Government on October 12, 2023.
