Pro Songworks
Hosted by the Songwriters Association of Canada, Pro Songworks is one of the leading professional songwriting camps in Canada. For nearly two decades, it has brought together influential and emerging talent for multi-day, intensive co-writing sessions in professional, top-tier recording studios. Pro Songworks has a national presence and partners with provincial music associations to support regional music communities.
Songwriters, lyricists, beatmakers, and producers interested in participating must purchase an S.A.C. membership and complete the Membership Activation Form for consideration.
Pro Songworks expands songwriters’ networks and catalogues by fostering a positive, respectful environment where music creators can connect and build professional relationships. The camp aims to create a friendly, diverse, and inclusive community. Participants are encouraged to continue collaborating post-camp, and the multi-genre sessions cover electronic, country, acoustic folk, pop, rock, R&B, and rap. Briefs are often provided to connect participants with music supervisors and A&R representatives, resulting in numerous syncs and placements.
Past partners include The Remix Project, Kilometre Music Group, Universal Music Studio A, Manitoba Music, Universal Music Publishing Group, Sony Music Publishing Canada, Warner Chappell Music Canada, CCS Rights Management, Daytripper Music Publishing, Reliant Music, Spinnin’ Records, Dreamboat Music, and Versa Music Group.
