Webinar – Music Beats: A Deep Dive into Beat Agreements

This session will cover what beatmakers should know about beat agreements that artists ask beatmakers to sign. Deal terms in such agreements to be covered will include up-front fees, composition splits, recording royalties, credit, indemnity, and payment schedule. Related topics will include getting paid, recognizing your leverage or lack thereof, and managing your rights after an agreement is signed. Also to be covered are agreements on beat leasing and sales web sites, neighbouring rights, samples, interpolations, loop packs, and more. Leave the session feeling better about past, present and future opportunities when others are using your creative beats.
