The Future of Black Music in Canada – Connecting Artists Now to a Moment in History

February 14 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$10

When the subject of Black History arises every year in the diaspora-we see stories and facts reminding us of the contributions that Black people and our music has made to the modern world. We shouldn’t ever forget about our pasts. The topic of this panel is an ode to where our music started, how far it got us and where we’re headed. Who were our musical influences? What was the industry like before your career started?  What would we like to see/hear in the future? Songwriter’s  focus: Who’s songwriting influenced you?

This Monday February 14 2022 at 4pm ET on Youtube, join the Songwriters Association of Canada for a virtual discussion on the future of Black music in Canada!

Facilitated by S.A.C. Communications Coordinator, Shanay Egwuenu, joined in conversation by industry pros, Vocalist and Songwriter, SATE, and Booking Agent, Seny Kassaye.
