Music Success In Nine Weeks
Author Ariel Hyatt &
Songwriters Association Of Canada Announce the Canadian Songwriters Social Media Challenge for Career Driven Musicians

New York, NY - To kick off 2012 by empowering artists Ariel Hyatt, author of Music Success In Nine Weeks, will co-host the third Music Success In Nine Weeks Blog Challenge with The Songwriters Association of Canada (S.A.C.).

The winner will receive a VIP 2 month Cyber PR® Campaign from Ariel Publicity that will place their music in the hands of bloggers, podcasters and online radio DJs around the world, 2 years of sponsor Bandzoogle’s Pro-plan plus a custom website design from a Bandzoogle designer, and ReverbNation is offering a $200 credit to run a PROMOTE IT ad Campaign to expand their Facebook Fanpage likes.

Music Success In Nine Weeks is a no-nonsense tutorial on establishing a career and fan base through online PR, social media and marketing. In the guide, each week outlines new tasks and simple ways to achieve monetary and artistic goals. Entrants will follow the nine-week process set forth in the book and blog each week on their progress. The challenge is designed to help artists refocus on the business aspect of their career while maintaining their musical goals and building their artistry.

Kelly Greene, a Grand Prize Winner of the first challenge, says in her blog, “Even if you have a good business head and the experience to boot, you’ll still benefit from the information listed [in Music Success in Nine Weeks] because it will force you to rethink your current strategy and implementation.”

Readers also receive access to the Cyber PR® Mastermind forum. This invite-only forum allows musicians to get feedback from Ariel and her PR team on their application of principles discussed in the book. Participants can share and refine ideas with their peers as well as receive support and encouragement in the Challenge.

To enter the challenge, participants must sign up on the Songwriters Association of Canada site and post at least one blog entry each of the nine weeks to be eligible for selection. The contest will launch with a group call with Ariel on January 9th, 2012.  Judging closes on March 12, 2012. The winner will be chosen after teams from the S.A.C., Reverbnation, Bandzoogle & Ariel Publicity have evaluated all entries.

“If you can take yourself out of your artistic head for nine weeks,” Ariel says, “and focus instead on wrapping that head around marketing, fan engagement and some self-promotion, in nine weeks you will see a marked difference in how your business looks.”

“We are excited about partnering with Ariel Hyatt to provide the motivation, tools, and community to our members to take a serious step towards success in the new year.” says Songwriters Association of Canada’s Lily Cheng (Communications & Social Media), “We truly believe there’s an abundance of talent across the country that need the right challenge to get their music out there.  We can’t wait to see what happens!”

The Music Success In Nine Weeks Blogging Challenge gives inspiration to artists to rediscover their career as a business. For more information on Music Success In Nine Weeks and to enter the challenge, visit
