"Listen carefully, and the music will fill the silence."

Influences:

Duke Ellington to Ricky Nelson, Sam Cooke to the Marvelletes, Bobby Darin to Neil Sedaka, Bob Dylan to Doc Watson, Gerry Marsden to Eric Clapton, Son House to Flatt & Scruggs, The Buffalo Springfield to The Byrds, Thelonius Monk to Antonio Carlos Jobim, Miles Davis to John McLaughlin, J.S. Bach to Anton Webern, John Cage to Steve Reich, Harry Partch to Xiannis Xenakis, and too many more to mention ... think of Bobby Darin meets Bob Dylan and joins the Police with Eric Clapton on guitar, sort of.

Biography:

My musical influences go back to the 1950's, when country, swing and early rock 'n' roll were mainstream. An avid folkie during the 60's, I returned to university to get my music degree in the 70's, focusing on composition and theory, also concentrating on jazz, African drumming and South Indian rhythm.

As a non-performing songwriter, I enjoy writing or collaborating in a variety of styles. I've also studied audio engineering and computer programming, as well as being a professional copywriter for 20 years. I play mainly guitar and piano.

My wife and I recently moved to Whitby, Ontario, where I am currently rebuilding my home writing/demo studio. I'm looking to collaborate on writing and production projects, with a mind to pitching the resulting product.
