Biography:
Of nearly 15,000 entires, Téa came out on top at the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, winning first place in the R’n’B/Hip Hop category. She returned the following year with an equally strong second place finish, cementing her unmistakable ability to craft a song that sticks.
Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Téa is a Vancouver based singer/ classically-trained pianist/ songwriter. She holds an A.R.C.T. diploma in piano performance and a B.A. in Music from UBC.
She was one of the top 20 artists picked to participate in the Peak Performance Project debut year, where she won the boot-camp songwriting challenge, and the 1st artist to be featured in the Virgin Radio’s “Best of BC”. In 2015, Téa participated in the songwriting/ blogging challenge put on by the Songwriters Association of Canada and was dubbed the winner of the Pop Song challenge by the multi-platinum, award-winning songwriter/ producer Rob Wells.
Téa has co-written and recorded songs with many talented writers - the Grammy winning producer/songwriter Chin Injeti, Dane Deviller, Ovidiu Bistriceanu (Ovi), Jeff Dawson, and Troy Samson to name a few. She has worked with many producers over the years and has penned songs for artists in Vancouver and Toronto.
