Girls Are a Mystery

you were there with me
but I, I could not see
what was right in front of me
girls are a mystery to me

you tried to say
how you felt today
I was in your way
girls are a mystery, ok

teach me a lesson , but I never learn
I'm cool as water, you're a slow burn
I know you said something about being free
girls are a mystery to me

you gave me a smile
I kept it a while
but I could not belive
'cause girls are a mystery to me

you did what you could
then you left for good
regrets are my apoplogy
girls are a mystery to me

I Know You Know

You keep calling c’os you want to talk
I’ll keep listening till my ears fall off

Well I can be patient the stakes are so high
I’ll hang out and go out and chill with you a while

I know you know I love you so
I know you love me you just won’t say so
I know you know I love you so
I know you love me you just won’t say so

Our friends are seeing shooting stars above
You think we’re friends I think we’re in love

I can be patient the stakes are so high
I’ll hang out and go out and chill with you a while

I know you know I love you so
I know you love me you just won’t say so
I know you know I love you so
I know you love me you just won’t say so

It’s easy to read the look in your eye
It’s easy to see it’s a matter of time

Why not admit that there’s more going on
That makes you text me all day long

I know you know I love you so
I know you love me you just won’t say so
I know you know I love you so
I know you love me you just won’t say so

Right As Rain

Many days I’ve travelled to be here with you now
and I don’t know how long I’ll be staying
but I guess you could say none of us knows anyway
and the days that we have are all precious

Right as rain now I feel no pain
no pain I cannot handle
wide awake and make no mistake
I’m here now in this moment

I have had good fortune and I have had good friends
if I go with the flow it goes my way
when my day is done I’ll still be the lucky one
though I was not always who I could be

Right as rain now I feel no pain
no pain I cannot handle
wide awake and make no mistake
I’m here now in this moment

you know I love the springtime and blossoms on the trees
there’s a promise and joy in beginnings
when winter returns may your home fires burn
I will think of you then when I’m roaming

Right as rain now I feel no pain
no pain I cannot handle
wide awake me and my mistakes
we’re here now in this moment
Right as rain now I feel no pain
no pain I cannot handle
wide awake and make no mistake
I’m here now in this moment

Time Machine

I might watch the television ‘til my frosted flakes are gone

Saturdays are quiet now, there’s nothing going on

Sunday could be raining but it’s all the same to me

she’s gone and I can’t all that’s left is me

I’ll go to work on Monday if they haven’t fired me yet

maybe I will focus if it helps me to forget

I live with this obsession like Ahab on the sea

she’s gone and I can’t let it be

if I had a time machine I’d go back and I’d change everything

if I could I really would do anything to bring her back

but I’m living in denial waiting ‘til it turns to grief

and an alien abduction would be welcome as relief

‘cause I don’t want to be anywhere I’ve ever been before

she’s gone, I can’t take it anymore

if I had a time machine I’d go back and I’d change everything

if I could I really would do anything to bring her back

Biography:

The first time I ever saw a live band, I figured the people in the band were having more fun than the people watching, and once the Beatles came along the deal was sealed - I had to learn to play guitar. Actually, I was writing songs before I could play an instrument, and I would sing them to my sister to see if I had a hit.

I've had small successes and some near misses, but I keep writing because I love to write. One of my biggest thrills was sharing the stage with Randy Bachmann at a Bluebird North in Vancouver.
