Biography:

Joy Phillips is a Toronto-based, singer-songwriter. With a strong base in folk, and deep undertones of soul/pop, Joy’s unique style can be described as many things. Her lyrics bud from a very real place, while her songs often portray themes of love, loss and belonging. Joy finds a way to captivate her listener with her striking and soulful vocals while pulling on their heartstrings with her gentle cadence. In 2015 Joy released her debut album, Reckless. Recently, her song "Shake" has appeared as the single on Jacquelyn Tober and the Rose County Ramblers'" self-titled 2020 debut album. Joy is also a principal writer and front-person in the Canadian indie blues-rock band, Mr & Mrs.
