This website provides a wealth of creative and business resources in the form of videos and articles provided by a vast array of experts ranging from lawyers to Berklee professors.  Their mission statement is: "Helping Musicians and Music Entrepreneurs Create Sustainable Careers."
   The Art of Managing Your Career
Put out by the Canadian Cultural Human Resources Council, "The Art of Managing Your Career" is a resource guide for self-employed artists and cultural workers.  These were developed by artists and cultural workers to provide emerging self-employed artists with practical information.
This Canadian websites provides access to free workshops and webinars, as well as articles and information for those setting up small businesses.  Although it is not music industry specific, the  content is relevant and current.
  The Indie Bible
The Indie Bible lists thousands of places where you can get your music reviewed and your songs played on radio.  All genres are covered.  Only $29.95 - a special 25% discount for SAC members!
   The Indie Venue Bible
A live music venue directory with over 26,000 venues and 2000 booking agents in the US and Canada.  It features venues of all sizes including clubs, restaurants, lounges, coffee shops, festivals, theaters, halls, churches, bookstores, community centers, house concerts and open mics.  There are over 1000 colleges listed for artists planning college tours.  SAC members receive a 30% discount.
   Music Directory Canada
This is the ninth edition guide to the Canadian Music Industry featuring over 60 categories including company, contact, address, phone, fax, email, website and description.  All listings are 100% verified and submitted personally by the companies themselves.
   The New Indie
"The New Indie - Making a Living Making Music" is a collection of interviews of the music making industry touching on every aspect of the new realities facing Canada's independent recording artists.  Available for free.
 Work in Culture
This website is operated by the Cultural Careers Council of Ontario.  They provide human resources information and services for arts related disciplines.  They also provide workshops for career development for artists.  This is a great website for anyone looking for employment in culture related industries.
